DexterPay App is the app that can be downloaded in order to start the machines if you don't want to deal with cash/quarters. Download the mobile app from your app store and create an account by entering your email address and a password.
Once the account is created it will prompt you to go to your email to confirm it. Once it's confirmed, go back to the app, log in with the email and password. The first thing it will ask you for is our store location number. Our store location number is 8998. Enter the location number. You can enter payment information so you're ready to start the machine once you're at our store. Payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay. All the washers and dryers have a white sticker with a unique number at the store. Once you're ready to start a washer or dryer, just enter the machine number on the app, select your payment method, then hit start on the machine. If using multiple machines, start the first one, then just click the "next load" button on the app and enter that machine's unique number, so on and so forth.
The app does charge a small convenience fee to use. Also, it does a $25 'verification of funds available' for the first machine started each day, so don't panic if you see a $25 pending notice from the payment institution you selected. If, for example, you only spend $11.75 on your visit, the balance will be returned to your account minus the convenience fee. For customers that come in and do a lot of laundry, oftentimes they will spend more than $25. If this happens, once the first $25 is spent, another $25 'verification of funds available' will be initiated and whatever is not used of the second $25 hold will be returned.
The app takes a few minutes to download, but once that is completed, it's super convenient to use. We have a lot of customers who use it and love it. As most things go though, sometimes there are little glitches or the app is running maintenance and can be unavailable temporarily. This rarely happens, but we do see it from time to time.
